Board Member Engagement Checklist

Our goal is that each board member can check at least 7 out of the 9 best practices for engagement annually. Please check each item you have personally completed and use the SUBMIT button to return the form to United Way.

Make a personal financial contribution to UWNEMS.

Make a Leadership Level contribution to UWNEMS.

Work to ensure that a campaign is held at my company.

Review the agenda and any supporting materials before attending board or committee meetings.

Serve on at least 1 committee or task force.

Sponsor and/or participate in at least 1 UWNEMS event annually. (Ex.: Women United, Groundswell, $50k Giveaway, Day of Caring, Awards Celebration, Health Alliance Summit, Hunger Coalition, etc.)

Assist with at least 2 United Way office activities/events annually. (Ex: T-shirt rolling, Thank you notes, Sorting school supplies, Addressing envelopes, etc.)

Commit to in person board meeting attendance.

Share UWNEMS social media posts and/or publicly advocate for the organization and help develop local community connections.
